Independence Ray

    Gender M
Independence Ray was first identified at Manta Village (Keauhou) on June 28, 2011 by James Wing. He was approximately 4 feet across.
Independence Ray has only been seen at Manta Village a few times, and north of Manta Heaven during the day. He is VERY shy on the night dive and does not come close to the divers or snorkelers.
His name came from Mike Mayne, a Captain/Dive Master, who suggested that we name him Independence because he was identified around the Fourth of July.
     Description of Markings:
His spot pattern has a W shape to it with the right side being a large chuck that is separated from the rest of the pattern.
